Coolangatta's Bigfoot is owned and operated by Bruce and Lindy Bishop who also started the original Bigfoot ride back in 1983. From here they expanded into 4WD coach operations throughout Australia trading as Bishops Australian Adventures.

Nowadays, they are probably better known in Alice Springs, Cairns or Broome than they are here in the Shoalhaven. They have operated numerous 4WD coach tours to the tip of Cape York from Cairns since 1992 and personally led 44 of them. Many tours depart from Alice Springs and include the gruelling desert treks of the Gunbarrel, and Plenty Highways, Tanami Track and Gibb River Road . They also run coach adventure tours in Canada highlighting the scenic wilderness areas of the Yukon and North West Territory and the Arctic northern coastal Eskimo communities.

With 25 years of experience in adventure tourism they can clearly see the potential for the Bigfoot ride in the Shoalhaven. Over time it will greatly help to attract visitors all year round and give them an experience that is totally unique to this area.
